Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless Foundation

I am always on the hunt for a good foundation. I have crazy oily acne prone skin and I just want a foundation that won't make me look like an oily mess an hour after application. I have tried many foundations from high end to low end, and there are just a handful I can think of that I actually enjoyed, and the Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless Foundation is definitely one of those foundations that I really enjoy.

I purchased it at Target for $6.99, which is totally awesome because I honestly don't even remember ever getting a foundation for that price. What intrigued me about it was the matte and poreless claims.  Although the foundation doesn't do anything to my pores and keep me matte all day. It feels amazing on the skin and lasts pretty much all day. I blot once in the middle of the day and for the rest of the day I'm good.

Check out my little review on the Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless Foundation.

Weight Gain

Over the past year or so, I have gained a good 25 pounds. That is one of the reasons I have been avoiding putting up any blog posts because I am so insecure with my body. My clothes don't fit the same, I had to size up in jeans, and my "fat" clothes became way too tight. People began making comments about how much weight I've gained, how I need to change my diet, and exercise, etc. And I definitely know that over the year my eating habits have changed quite drastically, I started eating more fast food, larger quantities of food, a large soda every single day, and very little exercise. My job for so long was just a stressful job with weird hours. So I would eat late, and eating late where I live meant I could only eat fast food, or Ihop.

A couple of weeks ago reality really set in. I saw a picture from my brother's graduation and just could not believe what I was looking at. It had looked like the picture had been stretched out width wise. But when you looked at everyone else they looked normal. I couldn't believe how chubby I had become.

So I have decided to start a healthier lifestyle. I have changed my eating habits for the most part, although I have had a few set backs here and there, but for the most part I believe I have been doing fairly well. I have signed back up for the gym, and plan on going regularly before work.

I know there are no pictures to keep this post interesting and I apologize for that.

Why Must Cute Shoes Be PAINFUL?! Shoe Review

A few months ago I learned a very good lesson. If you order shoes online, make sure you try them out for a while before wearing them out. I purchased two pairs of similar looking shoes from Steve Madden probably around August? I got the Marlenee in Fawn and the Realove in black. The Realove ones are now on sale, but knowing how uncomfortable they are, I wouldn't even want these on sale. These shoes are SUPER sexy on, but SOOOO uncomfortable. I'm used to heels, and I don't mind walking in them. But both of these shoes have the most uncomfortable slope. Which is really weird because from the looks of them they look like my other heels.

I have never had much luck with Steve Madden shoes in store because whenever I went in I never able to find a 5. So when I went on their website and saw that they had my size I jumped at it.

These Marlenee shoes are super cute but painful. The little platform helps a bit, but I can't get very far with them.

You would think of the two shoes that these Realove ones would be more comfortable because the heel is lower. But these are the walk of death. I don't know why it is, maybe the lack of a platform, but oh my goodness are these painful! The slope on these shoes are just not comfortable at all. They're super cute, and I purchased them with the intent of them being an every day simple black heel. I have probably worn these out twice, and definitely regretted both times.

So my lesson was learned, try on your online shoe purchases around the house before wearing them outside in the case that they are uncomfortable you can return them.

What has been a fashion lesson you have recently learned?

Haul

Hey everyone! I recently did a good amount of shopping, and although this is not all of what I purchased, here are the things I was able to gather up. I recently changed careers and needed some new clothes that fit. Going from a job where I needed a uniform, to a job where I can wear whatever I want, it is very refreshing. It is a really exciting change for me. So I wanted to show some of the new things that I purchased.

One of the biggest surprises to me was the fact that Forever 21 sells jeans for petites! I have always stayed away from Forever 21 jeans because I never thought of them as petite friendly because the rises are typically longer and since I have such a short torso it just never works out. So here is my haul. I hope you enjoy it! And I apologize for any awkwardness that comes from this video.

The Heat is Back!

Hey everyone! Guess who's back? The heat! It has been so hot lately in Southern California. I feel like I haven't even seen winter this year. I've recently had some big changes happen to me. So hopefully that means more blogging time. Excuse my outfit, I know it's all over the place, but I'm kind of rusty in putting together an outfit that doesn't include leggings and an oversized tank.

Shirt: F21 Shoes: Nine West  Bag: Louis Vuitton  Skirt:Random  Necklace: H&M

I really love these shoes! They're super comfy, cute, and they fit me. All of which are pretty hard to come by for me.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

I'm Back!

Hello everyone! I know I keep saying I'm back.... and I'm not really, but really... this time I'm back. Here is my outfit from a couple of days ago when I took my little sister out to lunch. It has been so hot lately, and little dresses like this are so nice to just throw on when you are in a rush. And yes, you have seen this dress before.

Dress: Forever 21  Purse: Rebecca Minkoff   Belt: Forever 21
I absolutely adore my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac. I've had it for about a year now, and can honestly say it's been a great investment. My only complaint would be that sometimes those tassels can get a little annoying, and one of mine somehow has been cut/torn/or got caught in something, but there is only a little piece left of it which is very unfortunate. I like to wear mine with the straps doubled up. When I leave the strap long it just gets uncomfortable walking for me since I am 4'11 and the bag probably hits me about mid thigh.
Shoes: Purchased at DSW not sure of the brand.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and I will see you very soon!
